Teaching Confidently in a Montessori Classroom for 3-6 year olds
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the Montessori’s basic curriculum for 3-6 year olds, enabling you to effectively implement and enhance your teaching skills in a Montessori environment.

3 – Procedure of The Course
The course comprised 12 modules. Listen to the lectures, make notes with the help of the given outline present in the downloadable document. Submit and take a quiz of the module. A few modules require you to submit pictures and videos. Follow the instructions and complete the course. The last module is the assessment module. There will be 3 viva assessments during the course.
4 – Certification
An e-certificate for the diploma course from Concrete to Abstract (Registered Company) will be provided upon the completion of the course.
Here are three levels of the course. These levels are further divided into modules.
Level 1: Foundation Fundamentals
Module 1:
Understanding of Montessori Method, Life and work of Maria Montessori, Four planes of Development, Adult as guide and observer.
Module 2:
Child Psychology, Follow the child, Human Tendencies, Sensitive periods, Understanding of child’s mind, and preserving focus and concentration.
Module 3:
The need for movement, independence and purposeful work activities, Case studies, and discussions.
Module 4:
Development of Language, activities and practice of reading and writing.
VIVA 1 :
1st Milestone Achieved.
Level 2: Advanced Exploration
Module 5:
Preparation of environment, Freedom within limits, positive discipline, Classroom needs, adult’s responsibilities
Module 6:
Understanding of Practical life exercises, importance of development of life skills, shelf setup, rules for preparing the activities, how to present an activity.
Module 7:
Sensorial development and refinement, understanding the philosophy and characteristics of scientifically prepared montessori sensorial material, preparation of material at home
Module 8:
Activities for sensorial extensions, understanding how to teach science, botany, zoology, geometry and geography to enhance children’s learning.
Module 9:
Material making training, material making for language, Maths, Science, culture etc.
VIVA 2 :
2nd Milestone Achieved.
Level 3: Mastery Level
Module 10:
Teaching of Language, how to introduce reading and writing, learn activities for developing reading and writing fluency, Learn the science of Phonics, words, phrases and sentences in reading and writing.
Module 11:
Teaching of Mathematics, natural way of learning maths, Maths in nature, step by step guide for introducing quantities and numbers to kids, CRA approach, Visual Maths.
Module 12:
Final Assessment and Viva.
